As hotel guests, we all love to be catered to. But when is enough…enough? Hotel staff searching for your annual salary, relationship status, previous lodging history, previous complaints and other patterns that will allow them to know you are all a part of the strategy to create brand loyalty. But some may see this as stalking. Hotels now search online to find social media accounts attached to incoming guests in an effort to know their desires prior to checking in.
