D.C. is a fitting location to start a revolution. And that’s where Evan Burfield and Donna Harris plan on revolutionizing the east coast’s tech hub scene. 1776 is a venture co-founded by these two. The goal is to bring together D.C.’s power players and entrepreneurs. The two have acquired 15,000 square feet of space at 1133 15th Street, N.W. in the District of Columbia. There will be shared workspace, support programs, and event space. The venture received assistance from D.C.’s local government with as much as $200,000 being contributed by the city.
