Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City has an estimated personal worth of $25 Billion. With a $350 Million contribution to Johns Hopkins, his alma mater, this weekend, Bloomberg will have given the school $1.1 Billion. His motivation for such a substantial amount has been the shift in focus away from funding education in this country. “In our society, we are defunding education.”
